A new type of department store

Neighborhood Goods features an ever-changing landscape of thoughtful, exciting, and contemporary brands, stories, and events. More than that, they strive to be a place for community, bringing people together to shop, eat, discover, and learn across their growing number of stores throughout the country.

We evolved their brand and digital experience to better tell their story and made the digital experience match the physical to set them up for success as they continue to grow.

We approached the brand evolution with their varying audiences in mind including an expansive shape library and color palette to reflect their vibrant, playful and diverse community.

Knowing their offering and partner brands would be constantly changing and evolving, we build the brand with flexibility in mind, creating a design system with endless possibilities, so no two pieces of communication felt alike.

We brought more humanity to the site by elevating the teamโ€™s perspective โ€” sharing more about why they care and how they curate their brands and products.

With our varying audiences in mind, we created multiple ways of shopping to promote discovery. We gave customers the ability to shop genderless, instead filtering based on values or themes that are most important to them.

From in-store to online, every part of the Neighborhood Goods brand is built with community and storytelling in mind โ€” and made to evolve dynamically as they continue to grow.
